Cambridge a natural choice

With its riverside setting and old world architecture, Cambridge is a natural choice for wedding photos. Several parks offer spectacular backdrops, including the Mill Race, where limestone arches frame the Grand River. Magnificently detailed historical buildings also provide rich backgrounds. The city’s Historic City Hall, the School of Architecture’s pergola or any number of lovely old churches are examples. Many possibilities also exist for indoor shots, such as Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory. Bridal parties are ccentuated by tropical plants, waterfalls and colourful butterflies, virtually guaranteeing outstanding photographs.

Of course, the many venues that exist in Cambridge to host the actual wedding and reception also allow for great pictures. For example, most of the golf courses in the area offer indoor staging (with columns, ivy and cascading tulle) as well as the verdant hills and sunshine of the greens themselves. Keep in mind the quaint and unique possibilities that exist at the area’s living history sites, such as Doon Heritage Crossroads and Westfield Heritage Village.
