1 yard of wired satin ribbon 1-1/2" wide
30" of grosgrain ribbon 1"wide
5 almonds
Scissors
2 clothes pins
Low temp glue gun and glue sticks
Decorative accessories to attach to your favours
Tip: Have clear nail polish in your supplies. You can lightly apply it to the ribbon edges to prevent fraying.
How to Put it together
- Lay the satin ribbon on a flat surface wrong side up. Place 1 almond horizontally at the center of the ribbon. Twist the ribbon tightly 2-3 times on both sides of the candy to lock it in. Clip on the left twisted side with a clothespin.
- Place another almond to the right of the first almond twist. Twist. Repeat. Clip with clothespin now do the left almond twists. See Figure 1.
- Form a circle with the almond twist you have just made. Then clip together with a clothespin. With the ribbon tails. Form 3" loops and grasp with clothespin to secure See Figure 2. Set aside.
- Cut 12" of grosgrain ribbon and place it under the favor above the circle of almonds and below the clothespin. Tiearound towards the top. Trim the ends of the ribbon in V.
- Now make a shirred rose with the 18" of grosgrain ribbon. Glue a square knot. Using a low temp glue gun.
- Once the glue dries - insert the napkin.
- Secure with wire. Attach roses to bow.
- Glue to the side of the tag.
